With the exception of Mega deals sealed by the likes of Lenskart and PhonePe shored up fundraising in India to $1.38b. In SE Asia, only two mega deals were recorded, which kept overall deal value muted at $781m. In China, the cumulative value of mega deals stood at $947.8m in March, down from $4.8b in Feb. This pushed overall fundraising to $2.6b—the lowest in our records..

Several big-ticket deals in March shored up startup fundraising to $1.38b—up 60% from Feb.

Greater China startups raised $2.6b in March—the lowest since we started tracking deals of all sizes in April 2020.

While startup fundraising in March rose 90% MoM to $781m, it was still below the $1b mark for the third month on the trot.
